Mrs. Emily Pollifax is a white-haired New Jersey widow with a brown
belt in karate who joins the CIA. Through an initial misunderstanding, Mrs.
Pollifax is given a simple courier assignment by Operations Chief Carstairs and
her ensuing adventure leads her to a career in espionage.
