Nicola Barber’s voice can be heard on television and radio commercials, popular video games such as World of Warcraft, and even in talking toys. But her true passion lies in bringing to life the characters and scenes in novels, a talent for which she has twice received the audiobook industry’s highest honor: the Audie Award.

Nicola is a 2015 Audie nominee in the prestigious Solo Female Narration category for Murphy’s Law (Rhys Bowen) and recently won two AudioFile Earphones Awards. She was nominated for an Audie in 2013’s Solo Female Narration category for Jennifer Worth’s Call the Midwife.

Nicola has performed on the stage in New York City and at a number of top regional theatres around the US. Film and TV highlights include The Nanny Diaries with Scarlett Johansson and Law & Order.

Originally from England, Nicola currently resides in New York—a multicultural background that enables her to bring a broad range of accents and characterizations to her role as a full-time voice-over actor.
